Bengals WR Jones expected to miss at least six weeks with broken foot
The Bengals’ aerial attack took quite the blow over the weekend.
Third-year wide receiver Marvin Jones will be sidelined with a broken left foot, head coach Marvin Lewis said on Monday, via the team’s website. Jones will be out “ a couple of weeks,” Lewis said.
One source, however, says Jones is expected to miss at least six weeks, FOX Sports 1's NFL insider Mike Garafolo reports.
Jones, who sustained the injury in practice, had a pin inserted into the fifth metatarsal. The injury is reminiscent of the one wide receiver Mohamed Sanu sustained in 2012, which kept him out for the for an extensive period.
With Jones on the shelf, Sanu looks to garner more reps as the outside receiver.
