Bengals QB Dalton questions Texans' J.J. Watt's integrity after postgame joke
Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt had some choice remarks for Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton after Monday night's upset win.
Watt, who was interviewed by ESPN after the game, said that "our goal was to come out here and make the 'Red Rifle' look like a Red Ryder BB gun."
While the Texans certainly accomplished that, the Bengals quarterback wasn't happy with the way Watt went about delivering his message.
"There's a lot of kids and people that look up to him," Dalton told reporters after the game. "For him to come out and make comments like that he's just showing that it's acceptable to do that kind of stuff. It's disappointing for one of the best players in the league to come out and say something like that.
"I think J.J. is a good player, but for him to be one of the best in the league and to show that integrity, it shows what he's about."
Watt hasn't ever been afraid to toy with opposing quarterbacks in the past. Dalton just happened to be the Texans veteran's latest victim.
Dalton, who suffered his first loss of the season, was largely limited -- completing 22 of 38 passes for 197 yards and an interception.
