Bears WR Marquess Wilson underwent surgery for broken foot

The Chicago Bears placed wide receiver Marquess Wilson on injured reserve over the weekend with a foot injury. On Monday, Bears head coach John Fox confirmed that Wilson underwent surgery to repair a broken bone.

Wilson, 23, enjoyed his most productive season in 2015, as the Bears dealt with several injuries at the wide receiver position. He caught 28 passes for 464 yards and one touchdown.

The former seventh-round draft pick out of Washington State has one more year left on his rookie contract, so he'll likely get a final chance to make an impact with the Bears in 2016.
