Astronaut Scott Kelly is hosting a one-man Super Bowl party in space

The average price of a ticket for Super Bowl 50 in San Francisco was $4,879 this year according to StubHub. For several reasons -- mainly the expense -- not everyone can attend the game.

Astronaut Scott Kelly, on the other hand, couldn't make it because he's not on planet Earth. Instead, he's cruising at 17,500 mph on the International Space Station. And he had a view that none of us had.

He wasn't left completely in the dark, though. He hosted his own Super Bowl party, only no one could make it. Maybe his friends hit traffic en route to his place.

His setup wasn't nearly as bad as it could have been. There are far worse viewing parties happening 249 miles below him.
