Arizona Cardinals coach Bruce Arians speaks highly of Sam Bradford

Bruce Arians, the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals, has had up close and personal relationships with several notable quarterbacks during his time in the NFL, having served as offensive coaches for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints.

So when he thinks he sees a talented quarterback, he's probably right.

Arians recently spoke of Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford on a conference call with Matt Lombardo of nj.com, and he had some pretty nice things to say.

"Sam is blessed with a ton of athletic ability," Arians said Wednesday. "I had him rated as one of the best ever to come out in the draft. He just got unlucky with injuries, but he looks like he's starting to flourish in that offense."

The St. Louis Rams also had Bradford rated pretty highly out of the 2010 NFL draft, selecting him with the number one overall pick. But injuries caused Bradford several setbacks year after year, and he never particularly panned out to that superstar level that was expected. And this offseason, the Rams sent Bradford to the Eagles in exchange for Nick Foles to start fresh.

But at times since Bradford has joined Philadelphia, he has looked a bit more comfortable. His touchdown to interception ratio isn't particularly flattering (14-11), but his current 63.2 completion percentage on the year is a single-season high for Bradford.

The Eagles take on Arian's Cardinals this Sunday, and Bradford will have a handful. The Cardinals only surrender 234.7 passing yards per game, the 12th-least in the NFL.
