Agent: Lions release DB Eric King

The agent for Detroit's Eric King says the cornerback has been released by the Detroit Lions.

Agent Todd France confirmed Thursday night that the 28-year-old King was let go earlier in the day, although the team did not announce any move.

King played only three games for Detroit last season after signing with the team in mid-December. King also played four games last season for Cleveland before being waived.

King played four games for the Lions in the 2009 season but was among Detroit's final cuts before last season. He played in 52 games from 2005-08 with the Buffalo Bills and Tennessee Titans.
