Adam Gase says the Dolphins fear Ryan Tannehill tore his ACL
The Miami Dolphins are battling for a postseason berth, but their chances of making the playoffs may have taken a significant hit Sunday.
Ryan Tannehill was forced to leave in the third quarter of the Dolphins' 26-23 win over Arizona with a leg injury, and the team fears he tore his ACL on the play. He limped to the locker room after being checked by trainers on the sideline. Matt Moore replaced him at quarterback.
Tannehill later emerged from the locker room in street clothes, but the scene was not a positive one. He was in tears as teammates consoled him, signifying it’s a serious injury.
Tannehill completed 15 of 20 passes for 195 yards and three touchdowns. He also threw one interception.
