Aaron Rodgers to appear on celebrity version of 'Jeopardy!'

Aaron Rodgers apparently realized one of his lifelong dreams this week when the Green Bay Packers quarterback taped an appearance for an upcoming celebrity edition of "Jeopardy!"

News of Rodgers’ stint as a contestant on “Jeopardy!” came to light when one of his fellow contestants, “Shark Tank” star Kevin O’Leary, tweeted a photograph on Tuesday of himself that included the quarterback and longtime "Jeopardy!" host Alex Trebek, along with the other contestant appearing on the show, retired astronaut Mark Kelly.

Rodgers confirmed his appearance to ESPN Wisconsin and said the show that was filmed on Tuesday is scheduled to air on May 12.

Rodgers has been a longtime fan of the long-running, legendary answer-and-question show hosted by the esteemed Trebek. He apparently references his appreciation for the game show frequently and has stated that he and his brother used to compete with one another as kids while watching episodes on television.

Rodgers also has expressed an appreciation for the “Saturday Night Live” spoofs of the game show featuring Will Ferrell portraying Trebek, who is left exasperated by the inane responses provided by numbskull stars.

“I love Celebrity Jeopardy!,” Rodgers said in 2012, according to ESPN Wisconsin. “That’s another one of my favorite things.”

This is simply another example that Rodgers is living the dream in his personal life. First, a high-profile and long-running romance with actress Olivia Munn -- the two turned heads as they cheered on the Wisconsin Badgers in the NCAA tourney -- now an appearance on his favorite game show.
