Aaron Rodgers praises Packers' rookie defensive backs

With their first two picks in this year's draft, the Green Bay Packers selected two defensive backs. In the first round, they picked up Arizona State's Damarious Randall. In the second, they snagged Quinten Rollins out of Miami (Ohio).

Both Randall and Rollins have developed into key contributors as rookies. The entire team has taken notice of their efforts, even All-Pro quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

"Both our guys, Q and Damarious, have been doing a good job of making plays," Rodgers said, per Ryan Wood of Press-Gazette Media. "They have good ball skills."

Rollins stepped up in a big way against the St. Louis Rams in Week 5. Deadlocked in a defensive battle, he led the Packers to a 24-10 victory with two interceptions. Rollins returned one for a 45-yard touchdown; the other helped seal a victory with the clock winding down in the fourth quarter.

Against the San Diego Chargers in Week 6, it was Randall's turn to shine. In a game where Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers carved up Green Bay's defense with 43 pass completions, Randall made the game-winning play by breaking up a fourth-down attempt to running back Danny Woodhead in the end zone. The Packers went on to win, 27-20.

The Packers seem to have picked two winners in Randall and Rollins, as these rookies have helped the team emerge victorious and stay undefeated each of the past two weeks.
