49ers linebacker has an unbelievable assessment of his team's standing
Many wouldn’t confuse the San Francisco 49ers with an upper-echelon NFL team. They are 1-6, sitting in last place in the NFC West and having lost six in a row.
But if you ask 49ers linebacker Aaron Lynch, the Niners are not one of few laughingstocks in the league. In fact, they possibly are on the verge of greatness.
“We have the team,” Lynch said after the 49ers' loss to the Bucs on Sunday, via CSNBayArea.com. “We possibly have one of the best teams in the NFL, easily. Hands down. We need to know how to keep finishing games and work together throughout the whole game. Once we get that down, nobody’s going to be able to mess with us.”
It’s tough to knock Lynch’s passion for his team. He’s keeping the faith despite San Francisco’s current slide and the organization’s lack of a long-term answer at quarterback.
All the Niners have at this point is hope; that and the realization they could land a top-five pick if they continue on this downward spiral.
