2026 NFL OPOY Odds: Gibbs Favored; Walker III Skyrockets After Historic Start

In 2025, Jaxon Smith-Njigba took home the award for NFL Offensive Player of the Year, barely beating out Puka Nacua. JSN's Seahawks then went on to win the Super Bowl.

Moving on — since 2019, four wide receivers and three running backs have won the award. The last quarterback to win OPOY was Patrick Mahomes in 2018.

What To Know: Topping the board, Gibbs is a dual-threat back, like many of the greats are. Through two weeks, he has 208 rushing yards, 91 receiving yards, two rushing touchdowns and one receiving TD. He has made the Pro Bowl in each of his first three seasons.

What To Know: What a start to his Chiefs tenure for K9. Walker rushed 23 times for 173 yards and two touchdowns in Kansas City’s Week 1 win over Denver, then followed it up with another monster performance in Week 2. Walker became the only player in the past 40 seasons to record at least 175 scrimmage yards in each of his team’s first two games. That historic start has catapulted him up the oddsboard just two weeks into the season.
What To Know: The defending OPOY is off to another unbelievable start. Through two games, JSN leads the NFL with 277 receiving yards, while his four touchdown catches are tied for the league lead. He recorded three receiving touchdowns in a game for the first time in his career against the Cardinals, including a career-long 82-yard score. Smith-Njigba also became the fifth wide receiver ever to record at least eight catches, 120 receiving yards and a touchdown in each of his team’s first two games.

What To Know: After a quiet Week 1 in which he recorded just 12 receiving yards, Chase returned to form in Week 2. He caught two touchdown passes, including an incredible toe-tapping grab that will certainly be among the best catches of his career. Since entering the NFL in 2021, Chase has recorded a league-high 56 receiving touchdowns. He also has 529 career receptions, the second-most by any player through his first 80 games in NFL history.
What To Know: The beast of all beasts. Henry doesn't seem to be slowing down at age 32. In the Ravens' Week 1 win, King Henry had 24 carries for 144 yards and three TDs. In Week 2, Henry had 68 yards and another score on the ground. He won this award back in 2020.
What To Know: Another dynamic dual-threat running back, Robinson recorded 83 rushing yards, 90 receiving yards and a touchdown catch in Atlanta’s Week 1 loss. Frustrations mounted in Week 2, however, as the Falcons failed to reach the end zone. Robinson still finished with 81 scrimmage yards, but his OPOY odds fell from +850 as the second choice to +1600. He will get starting quarterback Michael Penix Jr. back for Atlanta’s Week 3 matchup against the Packers.
