Why doesn't Las Vegas think Kawhi Leonard can win MVP?

San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard is the best two-way basketball player on the planet. He's barbed wire on defense and an efficient sleeper cell with the ball in his first-base-glove hands. The team he plays for is arguably the NBA's premier squad right now, and Leonard is their alpha dog.

Without him the Spurs wouldn't crumble, but they would get laughed out of the playoffs well before the Finals.

He's supremely valuable. But Las Vegas doesn't quite think he's "Most Valuable Player" valuable:

Everyone else on this list is worthy of winning the award. They're each hugely important pieces to their respective organizations. Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry and Cleveland Cavaliers monarch LeBron James are neck-and-neck for the unofficial Best Player Alive crown, and there's no limit to what Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook can accomplish, individually and together.

But Leonard deserves more love than this. He's an exceptional basketball player, who, by the way, still leads the league in three-point percentage (50 percent!).

Give him a hug, Vegas.
