Who are the 25 best players in Washington Wizards history?
The Washington Wizards have not been the most successful franchise in NBA history, but they've still had their moments in the spotlight thanks to a collection of seriously talented players.
Courtesy of FanSided's Hoops Habit, here's a look at the 25 best players who've ever worn a Wizards/Bullets jersey, a list that includes a few active players but also some all-time greats who're currently in the Hall of Fame.
Highlighted right here is the team's current franchise face, John Wall, who comes in a bit earlier than most probably expect:
"He finished second in the NBA in assists in both 2013-14 and 2014-15. In five seasons in Washington, Wall has averaged 17.6 points, 8.7 assists, 4.4 rebounds and 1.6 steals in 36 minutes per game, shooting .431/.305/.789. He is second in franchise history with 2,990 assists and an average of 8.7 assists per game, sixth with 568 steals and seventh with an average of 1.6 steals per game. Under contract with the Wizards through 2018-19, Wall is eighth in NBA history with an average of 8.7 assists per game."
Spoiler alert: Wall is listed as the 15th best player in franchise history, while Gilbert Arenas is fourth. It's certainly an interesting debate, and if another list gets made 10 years from now Wall's name could easily climb up into the top three.
