Twitter has recently announced the discontinuing of vine, and with that said, we have to look at our top 5 Denver Nuggets vines.
In a recent article by Dustin Volz of Reuters, a popular business website, he wrote:
“More than 300 Twitter employees will be affected by the layoffs as part of a broader restructuring, a figure similar to an earlier round of reductions announced a year ago. Separately, the company announced it would discontinue Vine, a video app launched in 2013 that played brief clips on a repeat loop that struggled to compete with Facebook’s Instagram.”
With that said, it seems we will be parting ways with the app that has shared highlights with basketball fans for the last three years.

The Denver Nuggets, who have an official Vine, have seen its share fair of the app. This multiply-million dollar app will be closing its availability, and with that said, it seems only fitting to check out our favorite Denver Nugget vines.
Are you ready? Brace yourself because this is about to be awesome.

The Cross
I love this vine and everything it stands for, but it was not nice seeing what happened to Ty Lawson after a couple years in the Mile High City.
More from Nugg Love
The point guard from North Carolina spent his first six years with the Denver Nuggets and excelled with the organization. During his best year, he averaged 17.6 points per game which is extremely impressive.
Ever since his last year in the blue and gold, Lawson has struggled to make teams, stay on roster, and just be productive. We hope that there is still some hope for Lawson. But he will need to get his act together before he can return to his elite on the court.
With all that said, this stellar play has him absolutely breaking Kirk Heinrich’s ankles which is always a pleasant site.
This is not just one of my favorite vines, but one of my favorite Nuggets plays of all time.
It was one spot lower on our list than another traitor, who came in at #4.
Who else misses Carmelo Anthony on the Nuggets???? steal & a nasty poster???? https://t.co/V6Mgi1c4DG

The Throw-down
Yes, sir! This was one of the nastiest throw downs that I have seen… of all time.

Melo stole the ball, almost stiff armed the guy in mid-air, and threw down a vicious dunk all over him.
Yet again, another Nugget that went away from the team that draft him. In his fourth season with the Denver Nuggets, Carmelo Anthony boasted his best points per game of his entire career. He averaged 28.9 points per game. Do you remember that?
Melo ranks in the Nuggets records points in several categories, and we should never forget the seven and a half years that his superstar gave us.
Carmelo Anthony was a beast in Denver, and now he is sadly with the New York Knicks, but the Big Apple is truly where Melo belongs.
We wish Melo all the luck with his newfound teammate and hopeful success, and his leaving may have brought a storm in the Mile High City that is just now being cleared.

The Real Meaning of Basketball
I don’t have much for this slide besides how great it is to see an organization that does this for its local kids.
Watching a big time organization such as the Nuggets put on this act of kindness reassures my faith that the NBA isn’t always a money-hungry sport.
No real meaning to the highlight books or record books, but I’m sure this one will be in the heart of that kid forever.

The Future
It may not be the flashiest vine of the Nuggets ever, but it is one to remember.
Remember that man, he goes by Jusuf Nurkic or just call him the Bosnian Beast. He has been hash tagging #ProveThemWrong all summer, and it is paying off.
This beast put a brutal beating not the New Orleans on their home court during the first game of the season.
In his first game in his rejuvenated, down 35 pounds body, he put up a career-high 23 points and 9 rebounds, AND he barely played throughout the fourth quarter in which the Pelicans attempted their run to bring them back in striking distance.
This could be the year for the Nuggets, and they could be led by this absolute menace who was able to prove his skill set in this first game. Is he daily highlight real? No. But he does his position, and he is starting to do it a high rate. The key for Nurkic is to continue his efficiency which he struggled with last season. For now, let’s just exist in this time period before his complete NBA takeover.
He is the future. He is Jusuf Nurkic- call him the Bosnian Beast.

The Manimal Mixtape
It is so short and so incredibly awesome.
I think I may be on my 100th time of leaving this on replay. The Manimal is a true character, and he exemplifies the role that an NBA player should have. He made it to the NBA through shear hustle and work.
He wasn’t a high draft pick, he wasn’t highly recruited, but he put in the work, and he deserves to get our top vine.
This vine ranking was so much more than just cool dunks. It was about personality, about character, and the Manimal shows us that.
