WATCH: Kings' Lieberman hits one-handed, back-to-basket halfcourt shot
They say that the last thing that goes away for a basketball player is shooting touch. Long after the athleticism and handles have deteriorated, a good shooter will still be capable of raining down shots on unsuspecting young heads.
Sacramento Kings assistant coach Nancy Lieberman provided the latest example to back up that adage, and it might be one of the best we've ever seen. The former Old Dominion standout and WNBA point guard, nicknamed "Lady Magic" in her day, was on hand Wednesday for the dedication of a refurbished local basketball court in a Sacramento neighborhood, where she attempted a one-handed, back-to-the-basket shot from the center circle. The result? Nothing but net:
Let this be a lesson to the young people in attendance -- if you get really good at the fundamentals, you can do some pretty spectacular things, too.
