Tyler Hansbrough agrees to deal with Hornets

The Hornets have agreed to a deal with Tyler Hansbrough, according to a report from Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer.

Terms of the agreement weren't disclosed, but it's likely to be something at or near a minimum contract given the salary cap situation in Charlotte.

Hansbrough played in Toronto the past two seasons, where he was a regular part of the team's rotation. His scoring was slightly down last year, but he finished the season shooting a career-best 52.1 percent from the field, while playing 14.3 minutes per contest.

The addition of Hansbrough to the roster was likely about depth more than anything else. He will be fighting for minutes with Spencer Hawes, Cody Zeller and the newly-drafted Frank Kaminsky.
