Two airport workers tried to steal and sell Kevin Durant's new shoes

Apparently, someone just couldn't wait for the release of the new KDs. On Friday May 29, two workers from John F. Kennedy International airport were charged with stealing 12 pairs of Durant's latest shoes. Unfortunately, the workers weren't too smart about their next step, according to CBS.

"After the carton vanished, numerous photos of the unreleased sneakers – including one of them showing a factory box and serial number, appeared on the Instagram sales account @SNKR_BASE, prosecutors said. The shoes were advertised as 'the real deal,' and 'dropping July.'

The first posting on May 10 appeared a day after the sneaker shipment arrived at JFK, prosecutors said. Police found photos of the personal Instagram account TH3CLEAN_CUT, which is associated with @SNKR_BASE, and found photos of a man and various sneakers for sale, prosecutors said."

The man in the picture, according to the prosecutors, was one of the men charged with stealing the sneakers. The lessons here are simple, and ones we've been told over and over: patience is a virtue, and crime doesn't pay.
