Trevor Ariza aggressively confronts fan who wants to fight him on Twitter
The Houston Rockets were the most disappointing team of the 2015-16 season.
Coming off of their surprising trip to the Western Conference finals last season, the Rockets were projected to be in the mix for home-court advantage in the West this season. That didn't happen, of course, as the Rockets barely squeaked into the playoffs as a No. 8 seed, losing to the No. 1-seeded Warriors, who were without Stephen Curry for almost three games, in five games in the the first round.
While most of the blame has fallen on the shoulders of James Harden, Dwight Howard and Rockets GM Daryl Morey, the entire Rockets roster felt the brunt of their disappointed fans.
Back in late November, a Rockets fan (@TerryLee__) called out Trevor Ariza for taking too many pull-up jumpers, suggesting he would "pull up" on him if Ariza kept shooting. Ariza responded to Lee, accepting the invitation to pull up:
@TerryLee__ pull up then

Five months later, the Rockets' season is over, and Ariza contacted Lee via direct message on Twitter, telling him he could pull up now:

The two went back and forth over DM, as Lee screen-shotted and shared on Twitter:

Which prompted Ariza to have some fun calling Lee out for snitching:

Lee responded, saying Ariza left Houston to LA because he was afraid to fight him:
Trevor actually called me a few hours ago. Said he would pull up at my job before I get off. But now he in LA. ?? pic.twitter.com/IZK9Jwqeyy

This punk gone call me a snitch and he all the way in LA. I'm not playing bout my name bro. @TrevorAriza let me know when you in Houston.

Before things took a turn for the worse, Ariza squashed the beef by saying the two were messing around:

The lesson here, as always: Be careful who you call out or respond to on Twitter. You never know how they're going to react.
