The Kings are finally doing something right with this epic retro court

The Sacramento Kings have taken after their best player, DeMarcus Cousins, this season: Capable of outstanding moments, yet unable to escape a quagmire of self-inflicted instability and issues.

Every once in a while, though, they look awfully good on the floor — not because of their play, mind you, but thanks to their gorgeous retro jerseys in eye-popping baby blue:

These are literally perfect.

Those are awesome, right? They're probably the best jerseys in the league. Scratch that; those are the best jerseys in the league. Period. The Kings rock them on "Flashback Fridays," which are basically just home games on Friday. It's a cool gimmick, and it's about to get even cooler. Give Sacramento credit, because for once, they're doing the right thing on the court by making the court retro and baby blue:

This 1987 photo of Arco Arena hints at what the Kings' home floor will look like on Flashback Fridays.

The Kings featured the baby blue scheme and that classic logo pictured at center-court from 1985 through 1993-94, according to the team's website, which shares the good news that Vanilla Ice is among upcoming musical performances featured on Flashback Friday. Hooray? The site also shares this really cool video that includes a time-lapse shot of the retro court being put in place:

With all of the trade rumors and talk of firing coach George Karl (only to change their minds), the Kings haven't had much to crow about this season. Those spectacular jerseys on that ridiculous hardwood, though? That's the one indisputably correct decision to come out of Sacramento in 2016.
