The Big Prank: Shaq forced Dragic to carry piano keyboard everywhere

It doesn't matter which NBA team you're talking about. All of them have the same internal hierarchy: Young players (mostly rookies) take care of the chores no one else wants to do and the veterans reap the benefits.

That's the way it's always been. It's the way it's always going to be. And sometimes, when the vets can tell the rookies to do whatever they want them to, they'll order them to take care of random tasks no one even cares about.

Care to know more? Here's the story of how an aging legend with the Suns, Shaquille O'Neal, got an at-the-time rookie teammate, Goran Dragic, to carry a keyboard everywhere for no reason. From Jason Lieser of the Palm Beach Post:

Dragic mostly avoided rookie hazing, particularly since most of the Phoenix veterans were not interested in carrying it out, but O’Neal (formerly of the Heat) was not about to miss out on that fun.

“I always had to carry his piano keyboard,” Dragic said. “Is that the word, keyboard? I always had to carry that for him on the road. I didn’t know why he needed it. A couple of times his room was next to mine and I never heard him playing that thing. He was messing with me.”

This might not be a prank as much as it's just messing with a young guy, but whatever. Shaq's goofy and does goofy things. This is just the latest example to come to light.
