The Atlanta Hawks defeat the Washington Wizards, 114-99.

The Atlanta Hawks defeated the Washington Wizards114-99 to notch their first win, in their first game of the season. Paul Millsap dominated the offensive end, scoring 28 points on 11-20 shooting. He also notched six assists, seven rebounds and a block. Dennis Schroder notched 14 points on 50 percent shooting. Dwight Howard, who is playing his first game with the Hawks, scored 11 points on 44 percent shooting. But, he also notched 19 rebounds, a steal and a block. What a way to start strong.

The biggest surprise came from Tim Hardaway Jr. who has struggled all preseason scored 21 points off the bench. He shot 8-13 from the floor and knocked three of his five three pointers. The Hawks are off to a strong start and we can only hope they can continue to get better. The Hawks travel to the city of brotherly love, aka Philadelphia to face the 76ers Saturday, Oct. 30.
