Thabo Sefolosha's win over the NYPD gets the 'Daily Show' treatment
With absurdist poltical theatre happening all day, every day, Comedy Central's "The Daily Show with Trevor Noah" hasn't needed to dive into the sports world in recent weeks.
But Tuesday, it had a story too good to pass up.
The Daily Show's Roy Wood met up with Atlanta Hawks forward Thabo Sefolosha, who was found not guilty of resisting arrest in an incident that broke his leg, forcing him to miss last year's playoffs.
Instead of taking a solid plea deal, Sefolosha decided to take the case to court to proclaim his innocence -- and won.
Wood attempted to figure out what Sefolosha's secret to winning against the cops in court was and if he could apply those lessons to the common man.
Hint: He couldn't.
