Thabo Sefolosha has played in Nike 'Air Max 1 Mids' shoes all season

Thabo Sefolosha, in his first season with the Hawks, has surprised many with his choice of footwear this season.

According to NiceKicks.com, Sefolosha has worn Nike Air Max 1 Mids -- a modern twist on the 1987 athletic shoe designed by Nike's Tinker Hatfield -- all season. NiceKicks.com explains in the report that he's worn six different colorways of the shoe.

Pictures depict one look with a red on white design; also included is an all-red look as well as a full-black aesthetic with a red stripe.

Many wouldn't expect to see an NBA player wearing Air Max 1's while on the professional floor. Sefolosha, meanwhile, was recently listed with "ankle rehab" pregame for the Hawks; he was ruled as probable.
