Steve Nash will be going into the Hall of Fame sooner than expected
When discussing Steve Nash and the basketball Hall of Fame, it's a question of when he'll be enshrined, not if. And thanks to a recent policy change from the folks in charge, Nash will be going in a year sooner than expected.

Shaquille O'Neal, who played briefly for the Suns during the 2008 and 2009 seasons, will also be going in early, most likely as soon as he's now eligible in 2016.
The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced changes to the enshrinement process Monday that shorten the wait time for retired players to become eligible.
Players now will need only to be retired for four full seasons to become eligible for the ballot. That moves up Nash's eligibility to a December 2019 ballot for Class of 2020 enshrinement in Springfield. As a two-time NBA Most Valuable Player, Nash is a lock to be chosen for the Hall of Fame and likely will be a first-ballot selection.
