Steve Kerr on Steph Curry's Game 4 performance: 'That was crazy'

Everyone knew they were witnessing something special Monday night. As the Warriors struggled badly against the Trail Blazers in the opening frame of Game 4, falling to a 16-2 deficit midway through the first quarter, Stephen Curry entered the game off the bench.

It took some time for Curry, recovering from a right MCL sprain and ankle injury before that, to find his rhythm and confidence in his leg. And then he took over.

Curry scored 40 points (17 in overtime) and exceeded the 25 minutes by a dozen that Warriors head coach Steve Kerr figured he might play on account of caution and his conditioning. Curry finished one rebound and two assists shy of a triple double and registered a team-best +21 point differential when he was on the court.
