Stephen Curry explains why Ray Allen is the 'greatest shooter ever'

When watching Steph Curry do Steph Curry things -- like dropping 23 points in the third quarter during Tuesday's win over the Blazers -- it's easy to believe we're witnessing the game's greatest shooter of all time.

But even Curry himself doesn't believe he's there quite yet.

Reacting to Ray Allen's Tuesday retirement announcement, Curry explained why he believes Allen, who holds the NBA record for three-pointers made with 2,973 over his 18-year career, is the greatest shooter in league history.

"To me, he's the greatest shooter ever because of his longevity," Curry told ESPN. "He did it year-to-year and he got up on his shot. That's what made him different. He was a special player."

Curry might get there one day. But watching the top 10 plays of Allen's career, it's difficult to disagree with his assessment.
