Sports powers unite: Cowher's daughter, Lakers forward have baby

Bill Cowher has been called plenty of things in his life, "Coach" and "The Chin" most famous among them (and probably plenty of words we can’t list on this site, as well).

But now he has a new nickname: Grandpa.

And he’s a Laker Grandpa.

Cowher’s daughter Lindsay last August married former Duke star and current Lakers forward Ryan Kelly.

On Wednesday, Kelly posted this to Instagram.

Fittingly, the son of an NBA player and grandson of a former NFL linebacker is already delivering on the measurables; TMZ reported Nile weighed in at nearly 9 pounds and measured 22 inches long.

Now comes the inevitable: Which sport will the big guy play? At 6 feet, 11 inches tall and 230 pounds, Kelly is a big guy. But if Cowher wants his grandson on the gridiron, would you tell him no?
