'Spirited' workout from draft prospects impress Raptors brass

The Toronto Raptors held their first pre-draft workout Wednesday, hosting Jerian Grant of Notre Dame, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson of Arizona and Justin Anderson of Virginia. As SportsNet CA reports, Raptors executive vice president of basketball operations Jeff Weltman said the workout was "spirited:"

"For all of us who’ve been around and seen a lot of these workouts I would say this was one of the more competitive ones and you can kind of predict that based on who you’re bringing in. It was a very high-energy, spirited workout.”

Weltman of course didn't tip his hand as to who was most impressive, but each player could help the Raptors to some degree. Anderson and Hollis-Jefferson would provide much-needed defense on the perimeter, while Grant could immediately challenge Greivis Vasquez for back-up point guard.
