Sixers' Stauskas calls Warriors' Thompson toughest player to guard

If ever there were a harbinger of the NBA title to come, it might have been when Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson poured in an NBA-record 37 points in a single quarter against the Sacramento Kings during the regular season. Remember? It was pretty spectacular. And you can bet that former Kings rookie and new member of the Philadelphia 76ers Nik Stauskas remembers.

Stauskas interacts with his followers on Twitter pretty regularly, and on Tuesday night, one asked for Stauskas to identify the toughest player he's ever had to guard. And the response was without a doubt -- Thompson, particularly during that barrage:

It's a story Stauskas can tell his grandchildren some day.

"Grandpa, where were you when Klay Thompson scored 37 points in a quarter?"

"Eighteen inches in front of him, with a hand in his face. And it didn't matter."
