Should Dallas blow everything up?
The Dallas Mavericks face a critical offseason in their immediate future, filled with questions that will impact the team's long-term ability to win a championship.
One of them: Should they start over? Blow everything up, let all the free agents go and build through the draft? Here's The Dallas Morning News' Tim Cowlishaw with more:
"It's never been a priority in the Cuban-Donnie Nelson era. And that hurts the team. They actually had two players that were developing in Crowder (one of their own picks) and Wright (Golden State's) but they disappeared in the Rondo trade. They didn't have a pick in the first round last year, won't have a pick in the first round in 2016. This is not a team with a bright future, sorry."
Dallas can still sign a big-name free agent (DeAndre Jordan, LaMarcus Aldridge, etc.), but they haven't exactly had a ton of success doing so in the past. Cowlishaw is right: their future is bleak.
