Sam Hinkie's resignation letter to 76ers is a whopping 13 pages

General manager Sam Hinkie left the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday, parting ways with the team by way of a 13-page resignation letter that is, shall we say, wide-ranging.

He discusses the infamous "Process" the team has endured since he took over in 2013. He name drops celebrities and icons of business, education and science. He references the trials of a young Warren Buffett and the grounded approach to success of Amazon's Jeff Bezos.

He even laments the downfall of a flightless bird and the Blackberry keyboard.

Seriously, it's all over the place — read it if you dare (via Deadspin/Scribd).

It's 13 pages and one heck of an exit for a guy who's been at the helm for an unprecedented stretch of losing in Philadelphia. But it's a tenure he says has left the club in good shape for the future.

It's just a future he'll have to watch from a distance.
