Rondo says he dunked for first time in three seasons; is he trolling?

With three minutes left against the Knicks, Sacramento Kings point guard Rajon Rondo drove past two defenders and exploded to the rim for a massive jam.

The bench certainly looked surprised to see Rondo's dunk. So was Rondo. In a postgame interview with TNT's Rachel Nichols, Rondo said it was his "first dunk in three years." This picked up some steam on Twitter, with many applauding Rondo for his return to form. 

Research on Basketball Reference, however, indicates perhaps Rondo is trolling. Using to the shot finder tool to search for dunks, Rondo has dunked three times in 2015. He's reportedly thrown down eight total dunks since January 2013. 

Basketball Reference logs may be imperfect, but it still shows he likely threw down at least a few dunks in the last three years. 

Plus, Rondo has a history of trolling. When asked how things were going with his adjustment to the Kings, he said it wasn't going too well. Later, he had to clarify that he was just joking.
