Rockets' Howard (knee) won't return Monday vs. Knicks

Houston Rockets center Dwight Howard will miss a third consecutive game Monday because of a knee injury.

There had been hope that Howard would rejoin the lineup, as Yahoo Sports/FOX Sports 1 NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski reported earlier Monday that the center was a "potential go."

According to the Houston Chronicle, Howard had plasma rich replacement therapy --€“ the same treatment Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant had on his knee in 2013 -- this past Thursday.

In 10 games this season, Howard is averaging 18.8 points, 11.3 rebounds and 2.3 blocks.
