Robertson items highlight auction

Oscar Robertson's jersey from the 1960 Olympics and his 1964 NBA MVP trophy are among the items available in an online basketball auction.

Memorabilia from fellow Hall of Famers David Thompson and Sam Jones also will be included in SCP's auction that begins Nov. 14.

Jones' collection includes his 1959 and 1969 NBA championship rings, two of the 10 titles he won with Boston for a total that ranks behind only Bill Russell's 11 for most in league history.

Thompson led North Carolina State to the NCAA championship in 1974, and his ring commemorating that is among the 49 lots from his personal collection.

Bidding will be open to registered bidders from Nov. 14 to Dec. 1 at SCPAuctions.com.
