Ricky Rubio: 'I think we've touched bottom now'
The Timberwolves just lost to the hapless (though improving) 76ers. That can lead to quite the panic inside an organization or fan base. At the very least, it can make players feel low.
Low, low, low.
From the AP's Jon Krawczynski:
The Wolves have lost seven of eight with their only win in that time coming at home to a Jazz team that was missing Rudy Gobert, Derrick Favors and Alec Burks. Dating back further, the team is 4-15 since its 8-8 start to the season.
Minnesota is still much improved from where it was at a season ago, when the Wolves finished with the worst record in the NBA at 16-66. But losing, though the current players will certainly disagree with this point, might not be the worst thing for an organization that's still trying to build. Adding another high draft pick to a nucleus that already includes talents like Karl-Anthony Towns, Andrew Wiggins, Zach LaVine, Ricky Rubio, Shabazz Muhammad and more couldn't hurt the direction of the organization.
That said, you'd have to imagine the Wolves will come prepared for Wednesday's game against the Nuggets after a practice like this one.
