Reports: Knicks bringing Darion Atkins, Wesley Saunders to camp

The Knicks are trying their best to find to scraps to pick up. With a little bit of luck, one of them can become a contributor down the line, San Antonio Spurs-style.

They tried to keep around Maurice Ndour, the rookie who impressed so much at Las Vegas Summer League, but he ended up signing with the Dallas Mavericks over the weekend. Now, they've moved onto other undrafted free agents, and apparently, they had already gotten started on putting ink to paper.

From Shlomo Sprung of Sheridan Hoops:

Also, from Chams Charania of RealGM:

Atkins averaged 7.6 points and 6.0 rebounds for University of Virgina while playing for coach Tony Bennett on one of the best teams in the country this past season. He'll be 23 years old at the start of the season, but was a part of one of the best defenses in the country at UVA.

Saunders is also a four-year player. He averaged 16.6 points and 6.1 rebounds per game at Harvard this past season.
