Reports: 76ers trade Hawes to Cavaliers for Clark, draft picks
The 76ers have shipped center Spencer Hawes to the Cavaliers for forward Earl Clark and two second-round picks hours before the trade deadline Thursday, according to multiple reports.
Hawes, who has an expiring contract and will be a free agent this summer, is averaging 13 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists this season. The 76ers have slumped badly recently, having lost 12 of their past 13 games.
The Cavaliers now have an overabundance of frontcourt players, adding Hawes to a roster that already has centers Anderson Varejao, Tyler Zeller and forwards Tristan Thompson and Anthony Bennett.
