Report: Raptors choosing to keep Dwane Casey, shake up staff

Dwane Casey's fate was out of his hands once his Raptors got swept out of the first round by the Wizards.

Ever since Toronto's season ended, rumors have floated about the future of the team. Will general manager Masai Ujiri tear the roster down? Would that include axing Casey?

Now, Mitch Lawrence of NBC New York says Casey doesn't have anything to worry about, though his staff is in a different position:

The 49-33 Raptors finished with the third-best record in the Eastern Conference, but the standing was bittersweet. After a 24-7 start, Toronto played sub-.500 ball for the final 51 games of the season.

Casey's staff this year was made up of Bill Bayno, Nick Nurse, Jesse Mermuys, Tom Sterner, Jama Mahlalela and Alex Mckechnie. No report has surfaced, yet, regarding which assistants (if any) stand the best chance at returning for next season.
