Report: Most Kentucky players will declare for NBA draft

Now that Kentucky’s 2014-15 men’s basketball season is over, the focus for Big Blue Nation turns to next year. 

What type of team will the Wildcats have come November? In all likelihood, it will be a very, very good one. What players will make up John Calipari’s roster, though? The 56-year-old coach brings in the No. 1 recruiting class in the country, made up of five-star center Skal Labissiere, five-star point guard Isaiah Briscoe and four-star shooting guard Charles Matthews.

The questions about the roster center on the underclassmen that made up this past season’s squad. Who will be returning and who will be leaving for the NBA? According to CBS Sports’ Gary Parrish, only three of the Wildcats’ rotation players are likely to return next season.

"Lots of questions about UK," Parrish wrote on Twitter Sunday. "My understanding is all relevant pieces are likely gone - except for Tyler Ulis, Marcus Lee and Alex Poythress."

If this is the case, it means that freshman forward Karl Anthony-Towns, freshman forward Trey Lyles, freshman guard Devin Booker, sophomore guards Aaron and Andrew Harrison, sophomore center Dakari Johnson and junior center Willie Cauley-Stein will all be headed to the NBA.

The decisions for Kentucky’s players will likely be made within the next couple of weeks.
