Report: Mark Wahlberg in talks to adapt Butler's memoir 'Tuff Juice' for big screen

While Tuff Juice — Caron Butler's autobiography about how he went from a gang member and drug dealer to the NBA — hasn't officially been released yet, the memoir has already earned some high-profile fans. Vice president Joe Biden has been spotted with the book (alongside Butler) during a recent White House visit.

And movie star/producer Mark Wahlberg is also spreading Juice's good word with this glowing blurb:

Actor and "Entourage" producer Wahlberg also appears to be interested in taking Butler's story beyond the page as well. Butler reportedly told TMZ that he and Wahlberg were in discussions to bring Butler's story to the big screen in a hoops biopic.

And Butler told TMZ he already has a star in mind to play his part:

Tuff Juice: My Journey from the Streets to the NBA is slated to be released in hardback on Oct. 7.
