Report: Lakers have meeting planned with Kevin Love

The Los Angeles Lakers aren't completely out of the running to sign Kevin Love in free agency, even if it's an unlikely prospect.

ESPN's Chris Broussard reports that the Lakers will in fact have a meeting with Love to discuss his free agency.

There's probably not a lot going on here. Love would be smart to meet with every team to see what they have to offer, and it never hurts to do a little reconnaissance, either. But most indications are that the Cleveland Cavaliers forward will re-sign with his current team, although it might be on a two-year deal with a player option for the second season, which would allow Love to re-enter the free agency pool next offseason and cash in on the increase in the salary cap.
