Report: Knicks interested in Carlos Boozer, Kevin Seraphin

It must be that time of the offseason when the smaller names start getting the big reports.

The Knicks are still looking to upgrade their roster (and could use another big man). Apparently, they have two in mind.

From Michael Scotto of Sheridan Hoops:

Boozer averaged 11.8 points and 6.8 rebounds per game mostly coming off the bench for the Lakers this past season. The 33-year-old can still knock down mid-range shots, but has become horribly inefficient as a scorer over the past three years, dating back to his final two seasons with the Bulls.

If the Knicks want better defense, Seraphin would probably be the way to go, though he doesn't provide the scoring ability of Boozer. Seraphin averaged 6.6 points and 3.6 rebounds per game with the Wizards this past season. He doesn't have the track record of Boozer, but the Frenchman is still only 25 years old and has some more upside than a man on the downswing of his career.
