Report: Kings minority owners unhappy with direction of franchise

Almost anything would be better than the Sacramento Kings' previous owners, who very nearly took the team out of town. But things haven't been great under new majority owner Vivek Ranadive, whose attention to detail with the team could be considered meddlesome in the wrong light. The Kings have gone through coaches and front office staff like tissue paper during Ranadive's tenure, though things seem to have settled (for now) with George Karl on the bench and Vlade Divac as general manager.

The turmoil to this point hasn't gone unnoticed by the Kings' other owners, according to a report from Grantland's Zach Lowe:

While the minority owners are "powerless," as Lowe writes, it's never a good thing when ownership disputes boil to the surface. Some amount of disagreement is healthy; tension, on the other hand, can paralyze a franchise.
