Report: Kings' Barnes accused of choking woman at NYC nightclub

The New York City Police Department is looking to question Sacramento Kings forward Matt Barnes concerning an incident at a NYC nightclub earlier Monday morning.

According to TMZ.com, Barnes is accused of choking a woman during an argument at the club. Barnes then allegedly punched another woman and a man who attempted to break up the fight.

In the video posted on TMZ, Barnes is seen leaving the scene with Kings center DeMarcus Cousins. Cousins can be heard on the video referencing the fight.

The incident occurred hours after the Kings were in town to play the New York Knicks. Barnes played 17 minutes in the 106–98 loss, scoring two points on 1–11 shooting.

Barnes, 36, is in his 14th NBA season and his second stint with the Kings. He spent a portion of the 2004-05 season with the team.

The NBA suspended Barnes two games last season after an altercation with former New York Knicks coach Derek Fisher.

Barnes was also fined $15,000 for directing inappropriate language toward game officials during a loss to the Miami Heat last month.
