Report: Ex-stripper hits Paul George with paternity suit
As if trying to fend off the defending NBA champs wasn't enough to grapple with, Indiana Pacers star Paul George now has a paternity lawsuit added to his plate, according to the New York Post's Page Six.
Daniela Rajic, a 24-year-old former stripper, filed a paternity suit on Wednesday against George in Manhattan Family Court. She reportedly gave birth to daughter Olivia on May 1 and claims George is the father.
George didn't seem too distracted Wednesday night in Game 5, scoring 21 of his game-high 37 points in the fourth quarter of the Pacers' season-saving 93-90 win.
George, 24, had a relationship with Rajic for a few months last summer, a source told Page Six.
"Paul and Daniela saw each other a number of times over the course of a few months in Miami last summer. She became pregnant, and their daughter was born on May 1. She has already undertaken a paternity test, and there's no question he is the father. The court is still expected to order an official DNA test."
George, meanwhile, has said he would take responsibility for the child if he was proven to be the father.
"If and when there is legal confirmation that I am the father, I will fully embrace my responsibilities," he said in a statement.
George has strongly denied previous reports that he offered $1 million to Rajic to abort the child.
