Report: Clippers looking to acquire draft pick

The Clippers don't have a draft pick in either round this year, but that doesn't mean they aren't looking to pick one up, according to Eric Pincus of the L.A. Times:

The Clippers could conceivably purchase a second-round pick at some point during June 25th's draft. They haven't used up all their available cash (teams can move up to $3.3 million over a calendar year in transactions), and owner Steve Ballmer has already earned a reputation of being a big spender. It's completely possible that, for the first time in franchise history, the Clippers are buyers come draft season.

They could also make some sort of draft on or before draft day. Jamal Crawford's and Matt Barnes' contracts are only partially guaranteed until July 1, when their deals become fully guaranteed. If the Clips are looking to move either of those guys, receiving a draft pick might not be the worst way to go about it.
