Relive the greatest dunk ever on its 15-year anniversary
Anytime you try to anoint something in the sports world the "greatest ever," you'll usually find a long line of passionate fans willing to argue a different point of view.
But there's one such event where there is no credible argument to be made, and it took place 15 years ago today.
Vince Carter's leap over 7-foot-2 Frederic Weis at the 2000 Sydney Olympics is the greatest in-game dunk ever performed, and few if any would even try to convince you otherwise. Carter literally jumped over the Frenchman's head, and finished with a ferocious slam that left Weis looking around in amazement, wondering how what just happened could have even been possible.
