Randolph 'a little sore' after accident
Memphis Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph was involved in a minor car accident Monday morning, The Commercial Appeal reported.
A police report indicated Randolph's car was rear-ended by another vehicle on a Memphis, Tenn.-area freeway.
When reached by the paper via text to find out whether he was OK, the power forward responded, "Yes. My back is just a little sore."
According to the report, both cars were driven away from the scene, and no one had to be transported for care via ambulance.
The driver who struck Randolph was cited on failure to maintain a safe lookout, according to police.
Randolph's status for Memphis' Monday night home game against the Los Angeles Clippers remained unknown. The 30-year-old former first-round pick missed the Grizzlies' morning shootaround because of the accident.
