Post-Game Grades: Indiana Pacers vs Milwaukee Bucks

IndianaPacers100

The Indiana Pacers lost their third straight game, dropping one to the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday night.

The Good: This was a really bad loss for the Indiana Pacers, but they got some great performances from Monta Ellis and C.J. Miles. Ellis had 18 points on 7 of 10 shooting and made some plays that made him look a lot younger. Miles made 6 three-pointers for 23 points.

The Bad: This was a game the Indiana Pacers should have won. Now, they have to play the Spurs, Cavaliers, and Wizards before entering All-Star break. They arguably won’t be the favorites in any of those games.

MVP: Giannis Antetokounmpo was a pain for the Pacers. He got to the foul line 14 times, making 12 free-throws. He scored 20 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and handed out 10 assists.

LVP: Jeff Teague had a very strange game. He only took two shots, scoring 2 points. One of his shots came in the final seconds of the game. He had 6 assists, too, which is below his average.

X-Factor: Mirza Teletovic got in a zone and killed the Pacers, knocking down 5 of 9 three-pointers for 19 points off the bench.

Paul George

Small Forward, Indiana Pacers

C-PG struggled all night long. He had 2 points at halftime, and finished with 13 points on 4 of 11 shooting. He also fouled out of the game. Obviously, he deserves a pass. He’s played like an MVP candidate as of late.

Jeff Teague

Point Guard, Indiana Pacers

C-Very weird line for Teague. He took two shots, scoring 2 points. He handed out 6 assists in 32 minutes. He was a ghost tonight.

Myles Turner

Center, Indiana Pacers

BHis shooting slump continues, as he shot 4 of 12 from the field. He was active, though. Finished with 18 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists.

C.J. Miles

Shooting Guard, Indiana Pacers

B+Started off slow, but finished strong. Scored a team high 23 points and made 6 three-pointers.

Lavoy Allen

Power Forward, Indiana Pacers

C+It was a tough match-up guarding stretch fours, but Lavoy did solid when he was on the court. Finished with 4 points and 6 rebounds in 18 minutes. The Pacers will need more to fill the void for Thad Young.

Monta Ellis

Shooting Guard, Indiana Pacers

A-This was Monta’s best game in a long time. He shot 7 of 10 from the floor for 18 points off the bench. He also had some vintage plays, throwing down 2 dunks.

Rodney Stuckey

Shooting Guard, Indiana Pacers

CStill working his way back into game shape. Scored 6 points but shot 1 of 4 from the field in 15 minutes.

Al Jefferson

Center, Indiana Pacers

B-Provided the Pacers with solid offense, scoring 8 points on 4 of 6 shooting in 16 minutes. He was matched up against Greg Monroe a lot, which is a good match-up for him.

Glenn Robinson III

Small Forward, Indiana Pacers

C+Was quiet on offense once again, shooting 1 of 4 from the field for 2 points. He brought energy on the glass, though. He had 4 rebounds, 3 of them offensive rebounds.

Kevin Seraphin

Power Forward, Indiana Pacers

C+Was good on offense again, but was a really tough match-up for him playing the four and guarding stretch fours. He only lasted 8 minutes.

More from 8 Points, 9 Seconds
