Portland unfazed by six-game losing streak
Heading into Wednesday night's game against the Houston Rockets, the Portland Trail Blazers are on a six-game losing streak, the type of lull that will tear a team apart from the inside out.
But even though this roster is young, they also have character, patience and resolve. They aren't worried about the losing, and are confident they'll be able to turn things around. The blame game is not an option, per The Oregonian:
Portland wasn't built to suffer a long-term injury to any one of its five starters, and Meyers Leonard's shoulder injury has been a tough pill to swallow.
But aside from that, losing was expected from the Trail Blazers this year, and it's unlikely they right their ship even after Leonard returns.
"We've got a good locker room and we've got some guys on this team that are going to help keep this locker room together," Davis said. "We're going to fight for Coach. We know Coach has our backs and we're going to have his back and that's just how it's going to be. Teams that break apart, it's more the players don't have the coach's back. It's not like that and it's not going to be like that here. We're going to get over this hump eventually.
